January Inspiration

I think it's safe to say that the design team is thoroughly enjoying the January kit!

♥it's a banner kind of day♥

good morning everyone, danni here with today's monday CARDS challenge.

today's card challenge is: create a card with at least one banner on it

full details of the challenge can be seen in the CARDS FORUM and you can upload your cards with banners on them HERE♥


(there is also a card kit prize for this fun challenge, so let's create some banners)

Top Ten Challenge #2

It's cropping time !! Time for another challenge - are you up for it??

Keeping with the theme of Top 10 - My challenge is to:
choose 10 patterned papers and use all of them on a page!Easy right ;) Lots of different possibilities for this challenge and a great way to use up some scraps too !

The prize up for my challenge is a Petaloo Prize Pack. Now who wouldn't love that!

Deadline: January 16^th 12 noon PST.

Top Ten Crop Challenge 1

this crop is all about 10. top 10 lists, the number 10 and i have created a challenge in 10 steps. follow these 10 steps and create your layout. each and every one of you will create something different! are you up for it. i'll show you my layout by the end of the week but i will give you a few sneak peeks! the prize up for grabs is: an MME Prize Pack.

deadline: january 14^th 12 noon PST.
add your layouts to the thread on the forum: HERE

supplies:
cardstock 12*12 (edit: or other if you scrap another size!)
3 different patterned papers
a tag or journalling card.
ribbon (edit: place where you like)
a chipboard embellishment (edit: place where you like)
a sticker
banners (ready made or you can make them yourself)
flowers
thickers / alphabet
border punch
pen for journalling
photo (no larger than 4''*3'')

Step 1:in patterned paper (pp) 1 cut out two small strips measuring 12''* ¼'' and adhere to 2 of the four borders (you choose!!)
Step 2: in pp 2 cut out two other small strips measuring 12''* ¼'' and adhere to 2 of the 4 borders (you choose!!)
Step 3: in pp 3 : cut out a rectangle measuring 5''*3.5'', place on your cardstock (don't stick it down just yet).
Step 4: add your journalling card / tag to the rectangle.
Step 5: cut out 2 strips of pp (which ever you like) size: 3.5''*1'' (you can use your border punch on them!) and add them by slipping them underneath the rectangle. You can glue everything down now!
Step 6: place your photo on the cluster element rectangle-journalling card/tag-border strips.
Step 7: add your banners (I made three tiny ones)
Step 8: add your sticker
Step 9: add your flowers
Step 10: add your title

the only additional things you may add are: journalling and mists/inks!

CARDS Recipe Challenge

Hello, Nookers!  Shellye here with my January 4th CARDS Recipe Challenge

Because the newest kit from My Scrapbook Nook exudes love and being in love, I've centered this recipe style challenge around...love...T-R-U-E Love!

Just use the following 'recipe' to complete the challenge. 

1st- you must use the current or an older Nook Kit

Use the following:

T-Three different patterned papers

R-Ribbon

U- Unique Embellishment...this can be a hand-cut heart, an embellishment that you've altered...basically anything that is unique and one-of-a-kind (I hand-cut the heart and then glittered)

E- Eight TOTAL embellishments (may include the ribbon and unique embellishment)

That's it!

I'm giving away a skein of my crepe paper fringe to a random winner...like to play along?

The January Kit

Happy January everyone!

Have you recovered from all the holiday festivities???  

Hopefully life is returning to normal for most of you, 

with decorations put away and kids back in school.

We've been busy working on our gorgeous January kit...full of Lily Bee Head over Heals.  

It's pretty and feminine and girly.  But you know what???  It's so much more than that!  

Have you noticed the way the oranges and blue work together?  

Definitely a versatile kit and today we've got some proof for you ;)

Just look at this amazing piece of artwork our Katarina made!

Isn't it stunning.  Do you see the little bits of orange and blue in there?

Here's a layout made by Carol that is cute as can be and perfect for any little boy and his mama ;)  Use those banner stickers to make your own little flags.

How about a little Valentine artwork for your home?  This gorgeous piece was created by Lilith.  Got to love the artsy and edgy feel she's added to the kit.
