Happy Saturday Nookers!!! If it's Saturday, you know it is time for one of our monthly classes and today I will be sharing how to create this card:
The first thing you need to do is gather up your supplies:
From the June kit, I used the Jillibean Soup twine, the alpha label sticker sheet, summer quilt patterned paper, country garden patterned paper, sunshine and happiness patterned paper, and the bits of summer patterned paper.
The next step is to cut your papers down to size. Cut the summer quilt paper down to measure 4" wide and 5.5" high. Round the top and bottom right corners of this. Cut above the chevron pattern so that mostly the word print is showing. You may have a bit of chevron peeking out, but it will get covered. Trim the sunshine and happiness paper to measure 1.5" wide and 5.5" high. Use a scallop border punch on the country garden paper and trim the strip down to measure 0.75" wide and 5.5" high.
Next you will adhere it all together. Add the sunshine and happiness paper strip to the far left of the card base. Add the scalloped strip to the right of that. If you want to, you can stitch or doodle a border around the edges of the card base at this time. Wrap yellow twine around and around where the 2 patterned papers meet. Cut out the pinwheels in the mason jar from the bits of summer paper.
Now we just need to add the finishing touches. Add the mason jar on the right side of the card, using foam dots. Tie the twine in a bow and directly under the bow, add your sentiment stickers (from the alpha sticker sheet), overlapping the mason jar. Glue your card base down to a piece of cardstock measuring 4" wide and 5.5" tall when folded.
You are all done! There you have it, a quick and easy summery card to give away!!!
